To be honest Leeds is the only club I could see taking a chance on him.

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
He'd probably end up being appointed manager by April.

Give him a stable environment (I see the problem with Leeds already) to keep his attitude under control and he'd be a fantastic player at this level. Possibly even the best centre mid.

Do we know why QPR let him go? I automatically presumed it was wages?

Can't see him coming to us. Wouldn't be able to compete financially.

We are apparently in advanced with Kamohelo Mokotjo, a defensive mid for FC Twente. Sounds like he would be a quality signing.

Looks like we're signing Lee Erwin from Motherwell. The fella who got punched yesterday.

Not player transfer news but Huddersfield have appointed our chief scout Stuart Webber as their director of football. He was known for being the major influence of luring people like Raheem Sterling to Liverpool, amongst other players.

Simon Moore also linked from Cardiff. Makes sense with the Rosler link.

Never heard of him, but has a strong CV behind him! A role that has worked for us under Ross Wilson who has joined Southampton, so a big void to fill!

Managed to tie Michael Hector down to a new three-year deal. Great news.

We got him in league 1 as a chief scout, since then we've made about 10 signings, and only one of them (Leon Clarke) turned out shit. He was also the guy who we sent to scout MK Dons and told us told KJ to get Benik Afobe. He seems to know what he's doing anyway.

Very good keeper - was here on loan the season before last and looked very good.

Did well at Brentford as well, and was unfortunate at Cardiff to be second in line to such a magnificent keeper in Marshall.

Good signing if true.

Yeah, not sure where it leaves Silvestri but to have two young, good keepers is no bad thing.

A blind chimp could have seen Afobe was a good player FFS.

Alex Pearce apparently set to seal a move to Derby, great signing that. Not sure what the fuck we were doing fannying about.

Meh, he's loyal up until the point where money is involved (for the second time in his career).

If the club think he's only worth X amount than we should only pay X amount. If he's goes we'll buy in someone who will want the wages we offer.

The worrying thing is that he won't be replaced. I've always liked Pearce, a tad slow, but he was always solid and dependable. He'll be hard to replace, especially given his connections to the club.

We were linked with Paul McShane last week. I'll take that, two year deal, so that when he's ready to move on Cooper is ready to take his place. On current ability is better than Pearce, doesn't have many years left in him like Pearce, but we've got Hector, Cooper, Hyam, Dickie etc etc for that

Yes he will be hard to replace but we will do something to replace him. No way will we go into the season with Hector, Cooper and Ferdinand. It just won't be allowed to happen. Especially given Clarke was a centreback and prides himself on good defending.

Our defence needs change, we had one of the worst defensive records in the league this season. Some fans (especially the ones on Twitter) moan that without changes we will be relegated, than moan when changes are happening. Still 2+ months until the season starts, plenty of time for players to join.

If he claimed that then he is full of shit. KJ had Afobe on loan with us in the Championship two years prior. Jackett tried to sign him for us (twice) before he eventually left to go to Wolves. He was more than aware of how good Afobe was.

I agree he knew about Afobe long ago, just that we sent this Webber guy to scout him for a few games and he instigated the deal.
