Do any Halifax fans know why the guy who got your 3rd ran in front of our fans gesturing to wind them up?
Didn't know if maybe he got some abuse at Blundell Park in the return fixture or else I couldn't understand why he did it.
Other than he made his debut at Blundell Park earlier this season, no. Sometimes it's just what players do. Our own centre back today did the same when he scored against us at the home end at The Shay for Chester last season. No one knew why. :dk:

We were crap today, Dino got the tactics all wrong. On our good spell we got the ball in behind teams and pressed up quickly, today we played without a recognised centre-forward until we brought the past-it Andy Bishop on, who hardly fits that model of playing. Shit ref but he had no bearing on the result, Lincoln were deserved winners.

To be fair to Southport Caton would have caused most teams a real headache today because he was unplayable at times. Putting Muldoon up top with Rhead and getting pace in other areas of the squad alongside actually playing some decent football has made for a much more entertaining spectacle. Just a real ball ache we went those 12 winless games recently otherwise we would be in with a real shout of being in the mix for the play offs.

Tbh, I saw his comment as meaning that considering some performances earlier in the season (multiple 4-1s, 4-0, 5-0, 7-0), the fans reaction to drawing a game 0-0 was outrageous, he just said it very poorly.

The mass hysteria to today's game from the fans, Toto and Bogle shows exactly why opposition laugh at us.

You make out as though this is the culmination of a small blip, wake up, this is the result of 3 years of the same old pattern through the season.

Thought we were pretty comfortable today to be honest. Scored early then soaked up a little pressure. Never thought we looked like conceding and restricted tranmere to few chances, while creating a few ourselves.

Great fun was had by all in the away end. Players, chairman and fans all singing along together. Think that's the biggest part of this club this year.. Togetherness!

Cheltenham are the best team I've seen this season, dominated the midfield. Think there are other teams in this league with better players than Cheltenham, but Gary Johnson is tactically miles ahead of every other manager in the National league. On balance of play just about a fair result.
Thought Taylor Fletcher was Tranmere's weak link today, hasn't got the pace to get up and down playing out wide and was hoping Mekki would of been brought on at half time. Higdon is way out of shape, perhaps Gary Brabin signed him because he looks thin stood next to him.

Have to agree with this. The camaraderie amongst the whole club at the moment is phenomenal. Some of the videos on Twitter of players actually starting some songs are brilliant. Also love Gary Johnson's comment before the game today about Harry Pell:

"Pelly ain't allowed to stand by me today, as I've got my Delboy hat on and people will think he's Rodney."

The players and staff are constantly winding each other up, in a good way. A happy club, more often than not, is a successful club.

This is the angriest the fans have been since Hurst has taken over.

Despite this, the level of anger has been exacerbated by that one throwaway comment. If he hadn't have said that, would we have been annoyed after the 0-0 last week? The fans today would've have started those chants and it's almost certain the atmosphere would have been nowhere near as poisonous.

Last season was very much different to this season. We're 3 points better off than this point last year; however, Cheltenham are 10 points better off than Barnet were at this point and we we're not able to do better than that. Them and FGR are simply both doing fantastic and look likely to end up with 100+ points.

Let Hurst have the playoffs. If he doesn't achieve promotion, that's that, he must go because he should've learnt by now how to win them.

Must be in the water this weekend.

Grimsby fans kicking off at Halifax, Notts County supporters having a pop at their players, Milwall beating up policemen, WBA fans throwing coins at their players...

Going through the motions ahead of next season's inevitable capitulation. Bring on Grimsby Away and then Grimsby Away to officially end our season next week.

Transfer list them all (and the board). Worked last time.

The last sentence annoys me because I've heard it alllllll before. It's the same thing every season 'oh okay we've been shite but give him the play offs'.

This season is no different to the other 3. A poor start to the season due to a strange rotation policy, we pick up just before Xmas when he finally decides to stick with a side, we get to January and he fucks up the transfer window, title shot over in Feb, pick up again in mid March before a slight blip before the inevitable play off failure. After which the 'positive' bunch decide to conviniently forget what happened the previous season and say he's still the right man for the job and WE GO AGAIN.

If you can tell me the past 3 seasons haven't ran that EXACT course then I'll be baffled. The fact there are people still arguing Hursts case here absolutely infuriate me now. I get stick for my views on Hurst, I have done for 3 years. The fact is, if I was wrong about him as I'm always told, we'd not be having this conversation.

Happy enough with a point today, made hard work of it going two down but pulled it back. Two very avoidable goals conceded though, although I didn’t think Kiddy’s penalty should have been given. Burr changed it at half time, passing our way through wasn’t working so went a bit more direct and it was staggering at how badly Kiddy fared with trying to deal with it.

Ref was crap, for both sides, I wouldn’t have given either penalty myself although we should have had one when Alabi was pulled back but stayed on his feet. I suppose it all evened itself up in the end.

Some impact from Alabi, a new fans favourite. Great goal.

There was a slight difference last season in that we actually had a chance at the title at Easter, something we'd never yet, though we did fuck it up again.

I get what you're saying we're not going anywhere and pro-Hurst repeat things. The only year we've not improved under him is the 13/14 season where we finished 4th again.

When Rovers scored that last penalty, I thought he should've been sacked. 10 minutes later, I thought he deserved another chance considering how close we'd come.

This season isn't going how we all wanted but the one positive is that we have probably the best chance in the playoffs. It's testament to Hurst that were in the playoffs again, considering the average finishing position for the loser is 8th the next season.

Getting rid of Hurst would be a bit of a risk, but I think you have given him a lot of time to sort it out. The problem is a lack of good start every year, which leads to serious strain being put on the players as they try to catch up with the leaders. Look at the huge run you went on around Easter last year, yet slight slip ups against Gateshead and Wrexham and it was over.

It'd totally depend on who you appointed. I don't know if there are a huge number of options available to be honest.

Just home after 16 hour and 640 mile round trip. As predicted, good grub and beer in the Schooner, zero points in the back bin.

Entertaining game on an awful pitch, both teams seriously mediocre, mid table for both. Why did the stewards let in our pissed up children? Asking for trouble.

Season over, onto Welling next week. Hurrah.

Same old ups and downs every year. Same old lack of consistency. Hurst will always be delighted at the chance to flip a coin for promotion. He's not bothered about winning the league and never will be. It's quite boring and very uninspiring. He's had the benefit of the doubt in that the league is very hard but he's made myself and others feel very fed up.

It's long become a broken record now but we're at least nearing a conclusion. We get promoted or he's gone. I pray it's the former.

How is it? That Grimsby squad would make the play-offs even if Hockaday was in charge.

Spose you're right for this season at least, just thinking that the squad has been built by Hurst and you look at the likes of Wrexham in the past and these things can fall apart quite quickly.

Eastleigh fans, and team a disgrace. Fans trying to start fights with our players and their players trying to start fights with anyone. Joke club.

Don't think Parkin helped taunting and provoking the 300 or so Eastleigh spectators.
Heard the National League are going to investigate and deduct points from the Nympsfield club.

FAO all the Stepford Wives FCs out there - this is what a REAL football club takes to an away game when they're going well at the top end of the table

Got home from Gateshead just before midnight last night.

I thought both teams looked good going forward at times, but defensively were poor. In the end Gateshead won with a free kick which our keeper should have done better with, although I have heard since that we may have been a bit unlucky as there was a push on Oastler that the referee missed and maybe the goal should have been disallowed? Can't comment until I see the highlights as I didnt notice anything at the time.

To be honest it was a little frustrating to lose as I felt we matched Gateshead, and, as Barry Smith said after the game when you score 2 goals away from home you should be getting a result. Hopefully it was just a blip defensively as our last 4/5 games we have defended really well before today.

Great support from the 318 ctfc fans that travelled. This was matched be a fine display, some very tidy football. No disrespect to Tranmere but I did expect more of a threat, I was very concerned pre kick off. Where we let ourselves down is by not killing the game off, we had more than enough opportunities to get a second and third.

A fantastic togetherness between everyone at the club and I personally believe that no other club in this division has the solidarity that we have.

However FGR win again and I'd expect them to win their next 2, whilst we face Gateshead and Eastleigh.
