Rochdale at home next weekend is a big opportunity for us to really pull away and give us some breathing space, at least for the time being.

We won’t make it easy though with performances like today and last week.

Seen lots of players fake it over the years but not Powell. Seems odd that one but not there so can't comment.

We have lots of injuries at the moment and I think a few are playing with them (Omole for one) so it could be a reaction to that...or Betsy telling them to do it. It is not something that's in the club culture though.

I’ve finally seen a team worse than us. Awful awful team Crawley. And their tactics were a disgrace. Backed up by the worst referee I’ve seen for a long time. He was utterly clueless. Brilliant second half from us, something to finally built on. Really should have won it but we are finally off the mark.
I was saying to my mate, every season there's a team we see early on and you just know they'll be in the scrap. Scunny last year looked doomed. Crawley on a par. We drew both so says a lot about us!
Annoying to not win today. Horrible, niggly team are Crawley. Time wasting at 0-0. I need to re watch it but it looked like we had a very strong shout for a pen close to FT. Diagarouga(i think) looked to have been slid into from behind. As you say, poor ref. Anyway 49 points to go. Piece of piss.

Why would I be gutted to see us win?

Think about what you’re saying. Why would any supporter want their own team to lose and go down?

Anyway, a good win from a poor performance ends our winless run. Another 3 points closer to safety.

it's actually fun watching the relegation thread when you're 13 points above the drop zone.....

We don't think about you
It could have been you or Oldham.

I was talking about successive relegations. I chose you lot as you’re geographically near.

How’s it going down there?

Oldham didn't have successive relegations, it took them four years to drop out of League Two.

It does happen but that one was blatant and right in front of where I was sat, I get the desperation for points because we are in the same boat but his aim was to get John sent off which was naughty. Not sure if it will surface on any videos unless you rewatch the whole game, at a guess it was around the 55 min mark.

Cheers, I stand corrected.

Has anyone else had two successive relegations recently?

Chesterfield did it. Only reason I know that is they went down with us from L1 in 2017 and then the following season it was us or them to drop to the conference.

It did, but it was always an inevitability sadly. You have to be spectacularly shit to drop through L1 to conference back to back

Rovers managed it. We were actually quite unlucky dropping out of L1, Ronnie Moore match betting led him to be replaced by the useless John McMahon but only confirmed down on the final day. If Ronnie had stayed arguably different story. However throughly deserved to drop out of the FL, it still hurts thinking what a balls up Mickey Adams made with us.

Did you guys drop out of the conference at the first attempt too?
Certainly did pal. The good ol' days they're called round here now after our absolutely "shocking1!" 1-1 draw with Swindon Town yesterday.

League One relegation 09/10 and League Two 10/11. Avoided 3 back to back not that comfortably in 11/12 but made it 3 relegations in 4 as we were relegated to the National League North in 12/13. What a time to be alive.

Someone behind me at the match yesterday told me he wouldn't be coming back next week if we didn't sign a new striker to go with the 3 who are currently all on a few K per week. Perspective.

I remember playing you when you were in L1 and we were L2 in a FA Cup replay for the chance to play Villa, we won but I remember thinking (and said to a few of your fans on the way out), Stockport are going to do well this season.

I seem to think it all went to shit after that?

Yeah we had a great young side but had to sell them all off and that still didn't starve off administration. Funnily enough that replay against you is/was seen as a massive blow as the Villa game was on TV and we really could have done with the money. I personally think it would have only kept the wolf from the door temporarily. The deal we had with Sale Sharks who owned Edgeley Park was awful and completely hampered us. We were just bleeding money and not making enough. Owned by the supporters sounds great but we just had no money and not enough nous on the board.

This is going too far, I know he's only joking but it's really bad taste and a disgusting thing to make up about another poster.
Sorry to say that I agree with you, had skimmed over the post.

Yeah me and Carver often don’t see eye to eye on many things but I agree with him on this. There’s a line and it’s been crossed. There’s joking and then there’s that.

If only there was another forum with mods and admins that do what they're supposed to and if only someone had mentioned it...
