I thought the same. He's not making bad signings per se, just average/underwhelming ones that add very little by way of quality to the side. You'd think with his reputation he'd be able to attract players from a higher bracket.

Yeah, we're set for £500m revenue and rather than spending a chunk of it on one of the best players in the world (who's still only 23) I'd much prefer it sits in the bank before the Glazers take it in dividends.

Mane is a big step up on Ibe, Wijnaldum and him bring goals and pace into areas we've been struggling in. The defense I'm sure has been plugged a bit so we aren't so leaky and there is good options throughout the side now, and it's a good, though I fully admit, not a great side; but it could be an effective one hopefully.

With Allen off and Benteke, Balotelli and possibly Markovic to follow, there is room for more to come in.

Personally I am happy with our midfield options now. Feel like all the transfer ins and outs have been good too. They aren't superstars but very good and solid players. LB definitely should be the main priority. Probably our weakest link atm.

I still think Liverpool need a holding mid unless Grujic is going to be adapted to that, especially if Lucas is on his way, as appears to be. Can may be adapted more to that as well and I think it would suit his game and have Hendo/Grujic/Wijnaldum/Milner alongside, we'll see.

LB is an interesting one too, as do we get someone to cover Moreno in case of an injury, which would surely be what would happen if Chilwell came in; or does Klopp go out and get someone to replace him and go out for Jetro/Hector. I think Moreno is fine for the PL, but he really needs to cut down on those errors and learn to defend more, and if he makes a mistake early on, particularly at Anfield, I think most fans will burn their bridges with him almost immediately.

He is very hit and miss, when he is on it he can be very good and there is a heck of a player in there. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to be improving on the brainfarts he suffers from which leads to stupid decisions that get exploited by good sides like what happened in the EL final.

The sounds coming out of Leicester is that he could well be our first choice LB next season ahead of Fuchs. When speculation regarding his future came about it was because he was behind Fuchs and Schlupp for the LB position. If he's going to be first choice LB next season you're going to have to offer him the same. Fuchs is off next year so the club look like they want to get Chilwell bedded into the first team.
Moreno, like Schlupp is suited the wingback role. Both fast enough to get up and down the flanks but not savvy enough to hold the line or track runners. And Moreno likes an idiotic foul.
