Got exactly what we deserved second half, absolutely no intention on playing football

That was disappointing to see in all honesty because you've got the players to be taking the game to any side in this league.

I thought it was entertaining too. Our heads seemed to drop after their second went in and I was expecting us to be really slow in the second half and I was like "Not another poor second half, please", but we came out and showed a lot of fight which was pleasing. Happy for Gilliead that he got a goal; I think he's been much better in the last few months. Also, we look so much better with Derbyshire partnering Cook.

Derbyshire was quality and changed that game when he came on. Let's hope he can stay fit for the last few games as him and Cook will take some stopping with Jamie Walker just behind

Yet again we just look a poor poor team lacking any sort of quality.
We're playing a side who are top of the league, having only lost once at home all season - and we've matched them thus far - despite losing two crucial players to injury in that first half. Admittedly we're struggling to create, but so are they. I struggle to understand what your expectations are at times!

Agreed. Such an intelligent footballer.

Never been a Hurst fan personally, although no deny it he job he’s done at Grimsby so can see why they like him. I always remember him bringing his Shrewsbury team to ours when they were third and gave one of the most negative displays at VP in years, his teams are always useful with the dark arts though.

Thought it was more than dark arts tbh. Was half expecting them to sacrifice a goat to the dark God Imotep in the centre circle before the second half kicked off.

The linesman is a Carlisle fan, aside from that two average sides who are more afraid to lose than go for the win, can see it ending 0 0

The most stonewall penalty I've ever seen not given.
Hard game vs these cumbrian officials.
That was actually staggering.

Glad we didn't appoint Hurst when he was linked a couple of years ago

Laughable - watch the replay, it's a cracking challenge

Haha, if you're referring to the reverse fixture I will remind you that your first goal game from a corner than was 100% a goal kick.
But our 3rd was about 40 yards offside and the red was very harsh.
Nonetheless, blatant penalty for us not given today, officials very one sided.

You're going to regret that take when you see the replay, it's a perfect challenge - not a penalty in a million years. Maybe you're too used to handouts :p

Your 3rd was 40 yards offside, and the penalty we were denied was a joke. Actually thought the red was justified, but he got everything else wrong - resulting in an apology being issued by the ref's assessors.

Right on cue, a ridiculous own goal from John Mellish. HG will be ecstatic!

Fortunate goal for us.
Followed by a red which the Cumbrian ref could not wait to give.
Nervy times for us now.

You're getting it back in spades today with these officials, you're being given absolutely everything.

As your commentators said - two bookings which were both correctly given, but completely unnecessary from your lad. Can't see us getting back into it now, enjoy league 1 next year. Hopefully we get to revisit this a division above.

Yeah he was on a yellow already and the second was nailed on so no complaints, just felt like such one sided officiating this game.
Would love you guys to go up in place of Stevenage though, but the officiating today has pissed me off.

Point fair at Sixfields I think, Cobblers better first half, Stevenage better second. Cobblers just run out of gas I think, looked dead on our feet by the end.

Gifted Walsall a late equaliser having been cigars out most the game defensively. Not quite got the goals in us to get top 7 at the moment. Hat well and truly thrown into mid table cup contention. Hope we can stick in for top 10, which would still be a huge over achievement really. Says a lot that disappointed the play offs have slipped away. Silly!

Fucking yes Pools!

Weren't at the races for a good chunk, improved with the substitutions in the second half, just about deserved the point but a 94th minute winner to cap it off, is nectar lads

Don't start counting your chickens.

You're still in the relegation zone and you're still going down.
