I know we don’t have many (if any) Morecambe fans on here, but what on earth is going on over there?

I believe they have just five players on their books at present. Talks of a takeover but current custodian is very hush-hush about the whole thing - gagging order?

Either way, it doesn’t bode well for them despite what miracles Derick Adams has managed to achieve with them in the past.

Rock bottom is going on unless something changes , it stinks of the Scunny situation a few years ago they will have to literally play boys against men . Feel for their fans

Tbf though mt we are a team who finished near the bottom , I doubt many top end players want to come to a team that's averaged 89th in the league the last 10 years or whatever it is . If he's basic and steady but gives 100% i will be happy tbh

Not sure how Grimsby line up but generally speaking we got the best out of him playing as a RCB (think Hartlepool used him that way too) and especially when he had David Worrall outside him at RWB. Liked to get forward and involved in the attack from that position. It’s just hard as someone who is still rather young to manage that. Hope he does well though if he ends up signing for you.

Hopefully (for them) new owner should be finalised any day now, but you'd imagine price is a lot less than what was turned down last year.

Cass was done yesterday. The Icelandic chap has signed but awaiting international clearance ( which is taking longer than expected). Paperwork proving a nightmare evidently

Not sure Cass is a guaranteed starter but his profile is exactly the same as Mullarkey, only we’ve got a fee for him and paid nothing for Cass. Strikes me as shrewd business.

I don’t think the signings are causing the fanfare of last year but it feels like we’ve done some really decent work so far. The Icelandic guy looks really interesting, he’ll either be horrible or a world beater.
