We’ve just announced signing of Manny Monthe from the vegans, the promise of a Wagyu burger every Monday was too good to turn down.

I make our squad as 19 players now, probably going to sign a full back, Centre mid and striker or winger to take us to 22 and that’ll be it.

He's more of a Nandos man. Bumped into him there a couple of times, loves his chicken.

Tbh, although he's a top lad and has some good attributes, he's far too prone to switching off and his passing/awareness of when to release the ball and positioning when we lose possession don't really fit our style.

Can make the odd barnstorming run up the pitch, but hasn't got a clue what to do when he gets up there lol.

It’s feasible that we would pay someone 5k in the ‘top striker’ role.

We have probably 4/5 players paid around the 3.5k mark (a couple we are trying to shift) so I think it’s possibly true.

As discussed before Kane Hemmings was on 6k p/w at Oxford and we paid half so I imagine he’s on similar to what we are supposedly offering Walker.

Our media have now got it. Our manager has quickly denied it, says they’ve had no contact from Swindon and he’s part of our plans.

Doesn’t mean it won’t happen further down the line.

We won't be paying someone £5k a week, no way.

If, as is rumoured, you paid Hemmings £4k, it's not a big leap. Added to which, Sh!tcroft is widely reported as having the same budget as Evans last year, so with no Hemmings and a couple of Evans' signings gone or on the way out, you'd think he has the cash to do it.

Can’t say I’m too bothered about either - especially Devitt. Journeyman if ever there was one. I think Brown needs to be a bit more inventive about any transfer targets.

We have apparently made a “game changing” bid for a player. Rumours of Yates but I really doubt that, he’s a top league 1 player.

If it's Yates that would be a game changer, he 'd pretty much nail us on for promotion.
Rumour I heard was Vaughn who was good but is now a 35 year old semi crock.
Yates is just too good to be true.

Jonno Forte. Nolan's biggest mistake really was not giving him more game time last season. Play to his strengths and he will score. Just don't expect hold up play or a high work rate defensively. Good enough for any team in this league

Yep decent signing I think, should be a good option to have alongside Stockley. There will also be another striker signed too some time this summer so we should be stronger in that department.

I like Forte but I like him a lot more when his contract is due to expire or he’s on loan. He certainly knows when to time his ‘in form’ period.

Forte is somehow both underrated and 'not the player he once was' - he's not got the ridiculous pace he once possessed but I always feel it was overemphasised how much of his game that was - he's not a fox in the box either but he's a canny operator who will get you goals whilst missing too many chances to ever be a 20+ man.

His work rate is very good as well, that's always been a strange knock on him - just like it was Danny Haynes...and Izale McLeod. I can't possibly think why...

Forte should be a good signing for Exeter. Nolan s one big mistake last year was not playing Forte or playing him as a lone striker. He is best with a big man next to him although he's not small himself. He's pretty brave and will score one in three of you give him service. His biggest weakness is that he scores in patches of form and is well capable of going half a dozen games at a time without scoring then score five in three games .
