We've only got 16 senior professionals signed up currently. The trialists weren't seen in our last friendly .

Worried by the lack of depth at the moment . Mills has said he might sign 1 more player. 1 injury at any time and we are on the ropes.

Have we replaced our physio yet?

16 is defo not enough -- With the new regulations this season I see a minimum of at least 23 to 25 players in order to cope with injuries/suspensions/lack of form etc.

The new regulations? There is no longer a transfer window in the Conference, so players can be signed whenever.

I don't think so . Don't think we have a goalkeeping coach either . It's a bit threadbare at the moment . Hopefully these things are in place come 6th August .

I know Nortei, Carra and Kai are very versatile in terms of defence and midfield cover. It's up front we are potentially screwed with an injury or suspension. Most of the forwards signed are for support / putting in the crosses . Wide players.

The three youth team players won't be ready to be thrown in at the deep end . They aren't like players previously promoted who have been on the periphery of the squad for a couple of seasons . They've been chucked straight in to maximise the budget ... Imo

We had Kaid Mohamed on trial today, as well as a handful of other players/youngsters.

I agree about the youth players, and despite them all looking decent it's going to be a tough for them to step up and not too much should be expected of them. Players like Tilt, Powell and Bailey Nicholls might need a bit of time to adjust to full time senior football as well (although Tilt in particular looks ready for first team football)

White not playing today highlights how threadbare we are up front, yet again. Shame nothing came of the Harrad rumours as that's the kind of signing we need. Overall though I do like the look of the new squad.

Only trialist for us today was James Caton, so it looks like Higgins has been 'released'.

We don't even seem to be bothering with trialists now . Hopefully he just has someone in mind. Players like Kaid Mohammed , Shaun Harrad and James Caton - I'd take every one of them here probably!

Will de Haviland from Sheff Wed played for us yesterday - apparently looked solid. Haven't a clue what any of our trialists are like, to be honest

the local paper said he was with Sheff Wed, but the radio commentary said he still is with them - if he is we may be looking at a season long loan there....

Our Chairman said this in response to a question about the possible re signing of Nathan Arnold

Attend the Impact arena on 19/7 ATFC v Notts County. You never know, who you might see in an ATFC shirt

Pretty sure we released him, got onto our bench a few times but that was about it.

As we are reliably informed by Chris, FGRs budget is well south of 1 mil. So most of those players will be playing for the love of it and the chance to be part of the future of football.
Nope well be closer to £1.5m all in this year I reckon.

Still talk of a marquee centre forward signing coming in the next few days;- who's scored at this level and above.... we can rule out Holt (gone to Hibs) and Parkin (Newport)... Still strong rumours about Rhead..... big strong guy who can hold up the ball well... any other ideas in L1, L2 or conf??

September 17 might be a more feisty encounter than it should be...

Wouldn't call Rhead a marquee signing though. Half of your forum think he is crap! I feel he is likely to leave and he would fit right into a physical Cox team very well.

Nah, the marquee signing that Cox was talking about was Parkin - collapsed at the last minute (the deal, not the fat lad himself).

Paul Benson? Talk of him coming back here but I'm not so sure.
