We should have been 4 up here but we’ve let them back in it just before half time. Brizzle play some decent stuff and have had most of the possession, but we’ve had plenty of chances.

Overall we’ve deserved the lead there but Carlisle are more than handy too. Not exactly the worst team in the history of football as they were billed.

Wilson is just pure class, if it weren’t for his injury history he’d never be playing L2. Just looks a step above anyone else on the pitch, this free role we’ve given him tonight really suits him too.

Last two games have given me a false sense of hope. Absolutely gone to pieces since going ahead. No way we are getting back into this, we've had our allocation of goals. Turning into the proper hammering we haven't had this season, be 5 or 6 this the way the last 25 minutes have gone.

We've been absolute garbage since the goal. Just need to try and keep the score down now.

Deservedly lead, we’ve played some excellent possession football at times.

Perfect start after a lapse pass from Carlisle put Wilson in to play Wozza in for a goal.

Weathered the storm for a few minutes then looked into total control and a poor effort from Pett should have put us 2 up.

Then we had that one lapse we seem prone too, four men that shot went through to go in but we remained patient, Willo had a great chance but a good move just before half time and Wilson rifled the keeper parried and he had a tap in. Not sure why no defenders followed that ball in there though.

Carlisle look lively, need to get tabs on Patrick and Windsor looks a decent player.

Long way to go but if we can keep plugging away hopefully we can get another goal.

He’s looking back to the player just before his injury. Level above league two easily.

Mansfield 1 up at halftime, far far far too wasteful, should have had at least another.

Keep it going

Yep for definite, just in terms of technical ability and intelligence I think you have to go back to Tony Naylor in a Vale shirt for someone on that level.

Our defence need to concentrate though, this is far from over.

On another note if anyone is in doubt about why we need a better pitch just look at how we are pinging it about tonight, just can’t do that at VP.

Yeah feels flat so far, other then the odd flash like Stevenson hitting the post or that Matt effort right on half time we haven’t really troubled them. Rochdale look decent, well organised and knock it about well at times.

We have been awful and on top of that our best defender was injured in the warm up and best midfielder subbed with an injury on 24 mins.
We have passed it around a lot but often putting ourselves under pressure, and are rarely threatening.
You definitely dont look like a side fighting relegation, but I dont know if thats due to us or yourselves

Good early goal from Rovers, since then a couple of speculative efforts while Davison missed a good chance to level for the visitors. Not much in this wouldn’t like to hazard a guess on how it finishes. Referee a bit random too

Battered them Adam should be game over by half time so you can see what’s possibly coming.

To strike fear into the hearts of Hartlepool, we are bringing on Luke James.

3-0. not an exaggeration to say this could be 5 or 6 on the chances we’ve had already

Amoo!!

That should hopefully seal it. Carlisles right back has had an absolute mare there.

Oh look we haven't scored, what a surprise.

I make that 2 goals in 10 games for the Os.

Pathetic.

Piece of piss for Hartlepool, easiest three points they'll have between now and the end of the season. Typical Barrow, chance to drag a team who haven't won since December right into the mix but we've given them a leg up that'll see them safe by mid March.

Another loss without scoring.

Genuinely don't care what happens to this team anymore.

Jackett out.

We actually won a game.

Think we might be taking Walsall down with us, to not beat the worst team in the FL while playing against 10 men for 40 minutes is shocking

That was really good from us tonight. Loved the attacking intent from the start and in the end a very deserved win against a Carlisle team who were more than in the game first half before fading in the second.

Wilson clear man of the match for us again but Hall, Hussey and Brad Walker were excellent also. He seemed to really enjoy that middle of the back three role where he could step up and assist the midfield as well as use his long range passing.

Huge game for us on Saturday now. Beat Northampton and things are looking ok for us I feel.

Really enjoyed that win and we seem to be improving game on game now back to something like we were pre Xmas.

Some lovely football from us tonight and we looked technically a level above tonight, Wilson playing in that position is perfect for him and he is way above league two level when he’s fit.

Really liked the first look of Cooper as well, scored bag fulls in Ireland from the wing and was very very lively, bit of Politic about him.

Pleasing win, shame results haven’t overly gone for us but 4 off 7th and three games in hand over Newport.

Two tough but huge games now. If we can come through them ok we should be looking good again.
